Children in Thailand

Contrary to common belief, sweatshops are essential to growth and life in the economy of Thailand. Sweatshops provide for the people and children of thailand a better way to make money, and more of it. Many of the girls(in picture), in Thailand do not have a proper way of making money and resort to prostetution. Sweatshops allow girls like these to gain a respectable job and to make money without having to sell themselves.
Also sweatshops open up hundreds and even thousands of more jobs than would be normally available to the general public. On average, sweatshops employ 61% of children in Thailand. (According to veganpeace.com).
Another reason sweatshops are very important is they allow the US to get products much cheaper than if they were made by the US. These goods are made in Thailand in the sweatshops and much of the money goes back to Thailand and the workers who work in them. This increases the economy of Thailand and helps US citizens obtain cheaper goods.
Sweatshops in Thailand are positivie for both the US and peole in Thailand. Without these sweatshops both Thailand and the US would have severe economic termoil that could cause severe devastation to the citizens of each. Sweatshops give an alternative to other jobs, give Thailand and its workers more money of their own, and helps keep prices down in the US. This is why we are trying to raise awareness on the positive effects of sweatshops.
